My #Olay28Day Challenge Results + Product Review
My #Olay28Day Challenge Experience + Review
I posted on Instagram the other day about how every year, during this time of winter, my skin gets super dry. Now that I’m in my 30’s, I’m noticing that the winter season tends to be harsher and harsher on my skin… The cold weather makes it totally go bananas!
I recently partnered up with Olay to try their #Olay28Day Challenge to see if it would work for me. The challenge is all about helping prevent early aging, moisturizing daily and helping to “microsculpt” my skin back to a fuller, softer look.
Today’s post is all about my results, what happened and my opinions about using these two products for specific reasons, and as part of my daily routine!
2 Easy Steps to Join the Challenge:
If you want to take this challenge too, it is pretty simple. All you need is the Olay Micro Sculpting Cream + Olay Eyes Ultimate Eye Cream, and then you just apply each daily for 28 days.
- Step 1: AM and PM apply the Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream
- Step 2: AM and PM apply Olay Eyes Ultimate Eye Cream
That’s it. They even offered our SSF sisters a discount on these items so you can try it risk-free! To claim yours, use 28DAYS5713 for $40 off your products!
Then after 28 days, just post your before/after pics using #Olay28Day and let’s see what happens…
This is what happened during my challenge…
Days 1-7
The first week, I started out with lots of fine lines, some serious dryness and just a general reddish discoloration. I feel like I’m working on perfecting that “tired” look here lol…
I noticed my skin started to appear more “full” after 3 days… I also just want to add in here that I really like the smell and texture of the products. For this challenge, I had fun scrolling through the feed and checking in with the other challenge participants to see how they were doing.
The #Olay28Day Challenge gave me some good motivation to be more consistent with my skincare routine, which I sometimes need.
SIDE NOTE – I can totally see myself adding these products in to my sister’s stocking this year because they’re really portable and cute!!
So anyway, I put both the Eye Cream and Micro Sculpting Cream on in the morning and at night for the 28 days. I noticed in the first week, when I woke up in the mornings that my skin definitely felt softer right away. You can’t see super well in my before picture, but my skin was so dry when I started… you know that really “tight” feeling you get with dry skin?
Yeah, I noticed that feeling was completely GONE after 2 weeks.
Days 8-14
In the second week, I got a little unexpected bonus and found some cool new beauty bloggers and inspiration to keep going by scrolling the feed.
As far as results, I started to notice a softening of fine lines and wrinkles, and my skin somehow didn’t look as red as it did when I started, which was a great feeling! Here’s a closeup of my skin after 10 days:
And here are the images side by side so you can really see the difference… This picture blows my mind!! I was not expecting this type of result so quickly.
I can see that my skin discoloration has toned down a LOT and the fine lines around my eyes have definitely diminished. My undereyes look a lot fuller and softer too.
I’ve noticed a fuller effect in the past when moisturizing more regularly, but I think using these 2 products together specifically made a bigger impact than usual. I liked that the eye cream is tinted and it blended really well on my skin and I can see a BIG difference in just 10 days!
Also, both of these pictures are taken at the same time of day with natural daylight.
Days 14-28
For the second half of the challenge, I finally didn’t have to think about morning and night application anymore. I just started to make this whole routine an actual habit! I didn’t have to think about what to do by this point, so that was really helpful and I’m glad I participated in the challenge because it added some structure and support to my routine.
I know these creams will both definitely be a part of my morning and night routine moving forward. I really like that they’re so affordable, because I’ve definitely spent a LOT on skincare products in the past and cost can be a barrier for some people. I prefer being budget-friendly and effective, so these two really help with that.
As far as my skin dryness? I’ve never gone through a winter with more moisturized skin in my life. I’ve looked for years now for a good solution around dry skin in the winter, and I think I’ve found it! 🙂 Plus I got the added bonus of having a longer term solution to help prevent and fill in my fine lines and wrinkles.
I’m excited to see how this will affect my skin in the years to come and I plan to keep using these daily. Let me know if you try the challenge too!! I’d love to see your results.
Talk soon!
