Turkey Taco Tuesday!

Turkey Tacos

Makes 6 servings

  • 1.5 lbs extra lean ground turkey
  • 6 low carb tortillas* (approximately 50 calories each, we used La Tortilla)
  • 1 1/2 tbs chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • salt and pepper to taste

* If you’d like your tacos to have a hard shell, place the tortillas in the oven so they drape from two bars of your oven rack. Broil for 3-5 minutes or until crispy and golden brown!

In a large nonstick pan, cook turkey meat on medium heat until brown. In a small bowl, mix together all the spices for the taco seasoning and add to turkey in the pan. Spoon turkey into your tortillas and top with lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese!

    Great idea! I reco adding non-fat greek yogurt instead of sour cream – healthy substitute and tastes fantastic 🙂 Also – opt for making these as taco bowls instead and you’re cutting out a good amount of calories!
