Perfectly Sweet Homemade Lemonade Recipes
Labor day weekend is almost here and today we’re sharing two of our favorite homemade lemonade recipes to help you beat the heat this holiday weekend.
These refreshing, healthy flavored lemonades will keep you cool, hydrated and satisfied. Plus, they are a great addition to any BBQ, pool party or family get-together.
Replace the water with sparkling water and you’ve got yourself a fizzy treat which makes a great mixed drink. Just sayin’ 😉
Liz and I love making these flavored lemonades instead of running to the store for something sweet or when we feel like drinking something other than water. You can even mix half water and half unsweetened tea for an Arnold Palmer treat!
Raspberry Lemonade
- juice from 6 lemons (about 1 cup of lemon juice)
- 2 cups frozen raspberries (thawed at room temperature)
- 6 cups water
- 3-4 cups ice
- stevia, to taste
Juice the lemons with a citrus press or reamer. Then, blend the raspberries and lemon juice in a blender until smooth. Using a strainer or cheese cloth, strain raspberry lemon juice to remove pulp and seeds. Add to a large pitcher with water, ice and stevia and mix well. Enjoy!
Watermelon Rosemary Lemonade
- juice from 6 lemons (about 1 cup of lemon juice)
- 2 cups fresh watermelon
- 6 cups water
- 3-4 cups ice
- stevia, to taste
- 2-3 rosemary twigs
Juice the lemons with a citrus press or reamer. Then, blend the watermelon and lemon juice in a blender until smooth. Using a strainer or cheese cloth, strain watermelon lemon juice to remove pulp and seeds. Add to a large pitcher with water, ice and stevia and mix well. Garnish with rosemary and enjoy!
