Inside Out Cheeseburger

There’s no better way to celebrate a 3 day holiday weekend than with a good burger! These burgers are so delicious and have a nice cheesy surprise inside. We recommend using ground bison for great flavor, but feel free to substitute with ground beef instead!

Inside Out Cheeseburger

Makes 4 servings

  • 16 oz ground bison or lean ground beef
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese (we used the Sargento Ultra Thin slices with 45 calories each)
  • salt & pepper, to taste

Preheat grill or nonstick cooking pan on medium heat. Form ground bison 8 small patties and set aside. Fold cheese in half, then fold in half again, and repeat until cheese is a small square. Place cheese on top of one patty and place another patty on top, pinching at the edges to make sure the cheese doesn’t come out. Repeat with remaining 6 patties to create 4 burgers. Season with salt & pepper. Cook on medium heat for 5-6 minutes on each side or until done. Enjoy!
