I used to think so too, until it happened to me…
In the past few years, I’ve discovered and completely eliminated foods from my diet that were making me gain weight.
These same foods were the reason I suffered from severe carbohydrate cravings, mood swings, insane binges, bloating, bad skin, low energy levels and more.
Now, I’m free of stubborn belly fat, I no longer “count calories” and I haven’t binged on food in over a year!
The thing that got me to where I am now is never eating these 3 foods…
Everyone knows that losing weight can be hard, especially belly fat. And in order to do it right, you need to follow a proven formula.
In fact, you’re trying to lose weight right now and you’re not getting the results you want, it probably has nothing to do with how often you exercise.
Or how many calories you eat. Or how much cardio you do.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not how many hours you work out or how little you eat…
It’s all in what food you eat.
And there’s a FORMULA for eating right.
It all starts with never eating these 3 foods again…
1. ARTIFICIAL SWEETENER
Artificial sweeteners promote fat storage, stimulate appetite, AND increase carb cravings, making it impossible to lose weight and keep it off.
How? Well, think about it…
The human body is a complex system made up of organs, muscles, tissues, cells, and more. And, it has no way of knowing the difference between real sugar and fake sugar.
When you eat artificial sweetener, your brain gets the signal that you’re eating something sweet.
So, expects a healthy dose of energy (in the form of carbohydrates). But, since artificial sweetener doesn’t have calories, your body doesn’t receive the energy it expects.
That means your brain ends up craving sugary sweets and carbohydrates more.
Leading you to eat even more.
In fact, those who drank 2 or more diet sodas per day had 500% larger waistlines than their non-soda drinking counterparts. 500%!!!!!!!
2. HYDROGENATED OILS
This ingredient the food industry is hiding from you could be even worse.
Hydrogenated oil has absolutely no nutritional value. It’s solely used as an inexpensive way for the food industry to increase the shelf life of packaged foods.
It’s synthetically formed in a lab by adding hydrogen to oil, yielding oil that is solid at room temperature. In the process, the once healthy fat contained in oil turns into trans-fat, aka the single worst fat a person can consume.
It affects your body’s ability to break down and absorb key nutrients. Leading to less than optimal health and declining physical/mental function.
Not only that, trans fat increases cholesterol….
Leading to high cholesterol, heart disease, and obesity.
If it wasn’t bad enough already…
Trans fats actually bioaccumulate in your body Because your body has no idea how to properly digest them.
Resulting in…. unwanted weight gain.
3. ARTIFICIAL FOOD DYES
Did you know there are more than 3,000 food additives?
All of which are ingredients added to foods in the U.S., including foods for child and infant consumption. The most common of these additives are artificial food colorings blue 2, red 40, yellow 5, and yellow 6, all of which have been linked to cause behavioral problems, cancer, birth defects, and more.
Now, you might be wondering what the big deal is and why you should care about artificial food dyes…
Well, food dyes are:
- made in a laboratory
- produced from petroleum (the same crude oil product used to produce gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, asphalt, tar, etc)
- solely used for aesthetics
- completely banned in other countries and require warning labels
- harmful to a child’s ability to learn increasing in hyperactivity in children
Your best bet is to just avoid processed foods altogether. Stick with foods that come from the earth, have high nutrient density and aren’t found in a shiny green box or wrapper.
