In fact, we didn’t even want to make a video or write about this topic because losing 10 pounds in a week is totally unrealistic.

But here’s the thing…

People search for this stuff. Like ALL. THE. TIME.

Add it to the list of numerous other unrealistic “cleanses,” “detoxes” and fad diets that people constantly search for.

So, you might be wondering why are you writing about this then?

Well, Liz and I figured we might as well approach this topic with real facts and realistic steps you can use to help you lose weight.

Now, when it comes to nutrition, people think there is some kind of secret to success…

Want to know the secret?

There is no secret.

It comes down to eating well, being consistent and fitting in workouts whenever you can (even if that means some days it’s only 10-15 minutes).

But if your diet has been off or you’ve been eating a lot of sodium ridden foods, you could lose 10 pounds due to water retention and bloating (just take note that this is NOT the same thing as losing 10 pounds of fat).

See there’s a difference between losing fat and losing weight, and I’m guessing you want to lose fat – which is why it’s important to focus on realistic approaches when it comes to your diet and fitness routine.

In order to see long-term results, you want to focus on the nutrients you’re putting in your body… not the calorie count of all the foods you eat.

So the moral of the story is…

Focus on eating real foods (fruits, veggies, healthy fats, etc) on a daily basis and the weight will come off effortlessly.

Forget about “losing weight” or “getting thinner.” Those things will happen naturally with time when you focus on how you FEEL instead of how you LOOK.
