How To Fix Anterior Pelvic Tilt with 5 Stretches
The 5 Best Anterior Pelvic Tilt Stretches and Exercises
This short video outlines the best stretches and exercises to fix anterior pelvic tilt.
If you’re experiencing back pain, it may be because your posture is off and you’ve developed something known as an “anterior pelvic tilt.”
Lots of women have this issue, and many of us don’t even know it!
This condition occurs when you develop an excessive curve in the lumbar spine over time.
Psst…
My theory is that thanks to social media, we are frequently encouraged to “stick the booty out” in photos and for various different poses…
But I digress!
When arching your lower back (even just slightly) becomes a long term habit, the spine and back can really suffer!
This will manifest in back pain and a weakened core over time, which can put excess stress on other muscles and joints that are not designed to bear the load of an upright body.
Having an anterior pelvic tilt is indicative of a weak core and misalignment of the spine.
Today’s exercises will help you strengthen the core while stretching out the hip flexors.
Follow along with our guest instructor, Megan Looney, as she walks you through today’s routine.
