Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl Protein Shake

One of the best ways to ensure you’re getting enough protein post-workout is by making a protein shake. Since this enables you to consume your protein in liquid form, it’s more easily absorbed into the tissues that need it for repair, aiding your recovery times after a resistance training workout. But how boring can the standard protein shake be, especially when you’re having them multiple times per week?

We spiced ours up a bit this time with a Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl! Rich and creamy, the strawberry and vanilla layers blend together in a blissful flavor whirl that will leave you wanting more. Watch out because this could easily become your new favorite post-workout treat! 🙂

Strawberry Cheesecake Swirl Protein Shake

  • 1 packet stevia
  • 1 tbs vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 4-5 ice cubes
  • 1/2 tsp xanthan gum**
  • 3 fresh strawberries

*we promise you won’t be able to even tell you’re using cottage cheese. Trust us – it’s so good!

**do not omit – this makes the shake thick and creamy. You can find it in the baking aisle of most grocery stores

In a blender, combine the first 6 ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour half of this mixture in your a glass and set aside. Add the strawberries to the remaining half in the blender and blend until smooth. To swirl your shake, pour half of the plain shake in another glass, then pour half of the strawberry mixture on top.
