Easy Beef and Broccoli

Growing up we loved to get Chinese food take-out, but it was often so loaded with grease that we’d feel sluggish and tired after eating it. Little did we know it’s so easy to make a healthy swap for this traditional Chinese dish – Beef and Broccoli! Instead of using soy sauce which is loaded with sodium, we used Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (if you haven’t tried it we highly recommend you go get some – it’s awesome on veggies!). This recipe is so simple and delicious – we made it for dinner last night and it took about 10 minutes total! Plus, it still tastes great the next day.

Beef and Broccoli

Makes 3 servings

  • 16 oz boneless top sirloin filet, cut into pieces
  • 2 cups broccoli
  • 2 cup kale, chopped
  • 2 tbs + 2 tbs Bragg’s liquid aminos (more or less to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Season meat with Bragg’s, salt, pepper and any other seasonings of your choice. In a medium nonstick pan, cook meat on medium heat until brown. In another pan, cook broccoli, kale, Bragg’s, and garlic on medium-low heat (cover with a lid to “steam” the veggieskeep your eye on this because it cooks fast!). Combine the meat with the veggies and enjoy!
