Brown Sugar Cinnamon Walnut Butter

Have you ever had walnut butter? Well, if you haven’t this recipe is a must try! We grew up thinking there was only one kind of nut butter – peanut butter. Little did we know you can make a nut butter out of any kind of nut. We’ve never made walnut butter, but we love walnuts so we thought we’d give it a shot! This walnut butter is so smooth, creamy and easy to make. Plus, you can store this nut butter for a few weeks (if you can make it last that long!).

Walnut Butter

Makes 24 servings

  • 3 cups walnuts (you can roast them for a more “nutty” flavor)
  • 1/4 cup protein powder (we used Trutein Cinnabun)
  • 2 tbs brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup Truvia or erythritol
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp sea salt
Using a food processor or high powered blender, blend walnuts until they turn into a smooth butter (about 5-8 minutes). Add all other ingredients and blend until smooth and creamy. Place in airtight container and store in the refrigerator for 2-3 weeks.
